Alex Payler will be kicking
off his 2009 Concert touring with a special 'one-off' performance aimed at
showing exactly what the Electone can do! Although 'starring' the
ELX-1m, the concert will demonstrate you don't have to spend thousands of
pounds on
an Electone by featuring one of the slightly more 'modest' instruments
from the Electone line. As well as Alex, the concert will also
feature guest performances from 4 of his up and coming young Electone students
playing all kinds of musical styles to show off both their talents as well
as to demonstrate the Electone's musical integrity as a 'live' musical instrument
as well as its sheer versatility - all done without the aid of pre-programmed
backing tracks, accompaniments or 'off the shelf' pre-arranged scores.

Scott
Branstone
|
19 year old
Scott Branstone has been playing Electone and Piano for nearly 10
years. He is also studying Music Theory at Grade 5 level and if
that wasn't enough, is starting to prepare for his Grade 6 Singing
Exam. He currently owns and plays a YAMAHA Electone EL-700 and admits
to being totally knocked out by its sheer versatility and overwhelming
sound creating possibilities. When not behind the keyboard, Scott has a
strong interest in Drama after attending the Sylvia Young Theatre
School in London for 5 years achieving a National Diploma in the
subject. |

Tanya
Noble
|
Tanya
has been studying the Electone with Alex for 3 years. 24 year
old Tanya admits to being hooked on the instrument and loves to play
all styles of music especially Film Scores and more dramatic music.

Claire
Hutchinson
|
Claire
Hutchinson, 27, has only recently got back into playing after a 7 year gap
due to University. She in fact originally studied with the late
great Michael Finden LMUS, LCM, LLCM who was the very same teacher who
taught Alex! At that time she got to Grade 7 Standard.
Claire contacted Alex last year for lessons and is loving
getting back into playing the instrument - so much so she snapped up
the chance of buying Alex's 'old' YAMAHA ELX-1 - lucky girl! She
enjoys playing all kinds of music and, with Alex's help, is enjoying
creating her own arrangements and developing her own style of playing.
